Nippert Stadium

Nippert Stadium is the home of Cincinnati Bearcats football, tucked directly into the University of Cincinnati's Clifton campus in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is one of the oldest continuously used playing sites in college football, with a tight, vertical seating bowl that presses close to the field and generates a notably loud, campus-centric atmosphere. The stadium has been expanded and modernized repeatedly while retaining its historic footprint, and it now serves as the Bearcats' stage in Big 12 play. Game days blend old-school college-town energy with a program on the rise.

Football has been played on the site since 1901, and the permanent stadium was dedicated in 1924 as James Gamble Nippert Memorial Stadium, named for a Cincinnati player who died from an on-field injury. That history makes it among the oldest football venues still in use anywhere in the country. The stadium underwent a major renovation and expansion completed in 2014, and further reconfiguration in 2017 helped it also serve as an early home for MLS side FC Cincinnati. Cincinnati's move to the Big 12 has brought a new era of high-profile matchups to the historic site, including games against Texas Tech, Utah, and Colorado on the 2026 schedule.
