The Watsco Center is the home of the Miami Hurricanes men's and women's basketball teams in Coral Gables, Florida. The on-campus arena also hosts concerts, commencements, and university events, giving Miami a modern venue in an otherwise football-first athletic department. Its close, sunken bowl produces a strong home-court feel for ACC basketball games.
The arena opened in 2003 as the University of Miami Convocation Center, was renamed BankUnited Center in 2005, and became the Watsco Center in 2016 after the Miami-based HVAC company acquired naming rights. It was the home floor for the Miami men's program's run to the 2023 Final Four under coach Jim Larranaga, the deepest NCAA Tournament run in program history. The venue remains the centerpiece of Miami's basketball rise over the past two decades.
