Sonny Lubick Field at Canvas Stadium is the on-campus football home of the Colorado State Rams in Fort Collins, Colorado. It opened in 2017, replacing the off-campus Hughes Stadium and bringing game days back to the heart of campus with mountain views beyond the stands. The modern bowl and premium clubs gave Colorado State one of the newer, more amenity-rich facilities in the Mountain West.
The $220 million stadium opened on August 5, 2017, replacing Hughes Stadium, which had housed the Rams since 1968. The playing field is named for Sonny Lubick, the winningest football coach in Colorado State history, whose name also carried over from the old venue. The new on-campus setting reenergized the Rams' game-day experience and gave CSU a modern home base for its Mountain West schedule.
