Huntington Bank Field sits on the shore of Lake Erie in downtown Cleveland, the open-air home of the Browns. Lake winds regularly whip through the bowl, adding a raw, elemental edge to late-season games. The Dawg Pound, the double-deck bleacher section in the east end zone, is one of the most famous and ferocious fan zones in football, its foam dog bones and barking chants a symbol of Cleveland's unbreakable loyalty through decades of rebuilding. The downtown skyline and lakefront setting make it one of the more picturesque backdrops in the AFC.
The stadium opened in 1999 as Cleveland Browns Stadium, built after the original Browns relocated to Baltimore in 1996, on the site of the old Cleveland Municipal Stadium. It carries forward the Dawg Pound name and tradition from that earlier stadium, where the raucous bleacher section first got its identity in the 1980s. The venue has gone through several naming eras, including FirstEnergy Stadium, before becoming Huntington Bank Field in 2024. Beyond football it has hosted U.S. men's and women's national soccer team matches and Monster Jam events.
