Overview
Target Field sits in the historic Warehouse District of downtown Minneapolis, an open-air ballpark built from Minnesota limestone and steel that gives the Twins their first true outdoor home in decades. History & Legacy
Target Field opened in April 2010, ending the Twins' 28-year run indoors at the Metrodome and returning outdoor baseball to Minnesota for the first time since Metropolitan Stadium closed in 1981. It hosted the 2014 MLB All-Star Game and has since staged the NHL's 2022 Winter Classic and college hockey games, showing off its versatility in the cold-weather market. The park quickly became a model for retrofitting a modern ballpark into a tight urban footprint, and it remains a point of civic pride for a city that waited a generation to watch baseball under the sky again.

Top-10 MLB ballpark. I’ve been here 30+ times and haven’t had a terrible experience besides the baseball team on the field. Staff has always been nice and the ballpark itself is gorgeous. Amazing views of downtown Minneapolis and it’s situated perfectly in a way that it’s accessible to anything. The Metro rail runs right along left field outside and off the right field plaza is downtown Minneapolis. The stadium itself is modern and cozy with how it’s positioned in its right corner.
