Matthews Arena

Matthews Arena in Boston is the home of Northeastern University Huskies basketball and hockey. It holds the distinction of being the oldest multi-purpose athletic building still in use in the world.

Opened in 1910 as Boston Arena, it was an original home of the NHL's Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics in their early years. The historic building remains the centerpiece of Northeastern athletics today.
