University Stadium is the roughly 39,200-seat football home of the New Mexico Lobos on the south campus of the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. It hosts the program's Mountain West home games at an elevation of about 5,100 feet, one of the highest settings in FBS football. The bowl-shaped stadium, built into a natural arroyo with earthen embankments, gives the Lobos a distinctive high-desert home-field setting. Game days draw the tailgating crowds typical of the Southwest's biggest college program.
Opened in September 1960, the stadium replaced the smaller on-campus Zimmerman Field and debuted with a 77-6 Lobos rout. From 2017 to 2020 the venue was rebranded Dreamstyle Stadium under a naming-rights deal, before reverting to University Stadium in September 2020 after the agreement fell through. Set against the high-desert backdrop of Albuquerque, it has long been the centerpiece of New Mexico football.
