My 4th stadium- I mean when I tell my family I’m leaving for a sharks game, I do call it just “SAP”, but when I’m talking to anyone else, it’s the SHARK TANK. Not the most flashy place to catch a hockey game, but it’s home. I like how intimate it is, how there’s just one main concourse as opposed to two. But that’s how it can work as a disadvantage as well. On the weeknight games that only draw 8/9K, it’s pretty easy for Ryan and I to do our “loser laps” (where we race 1 lap around the concourse if the visiting team scores first, which happens a lot). However, we can also get very easily stuck when it’s a weekend game at full capacity. That’s really the only main shortcoming of this stadium imo, when it’s packed, the atmosphere is great. There used to be *some* flaws, but ever since 2020 it’s been rlly nice. I’m really excited to see what this 30 year old venue has in store with the next renovation. Also, it’s 30 yrs old? U srs could NOT tell. Bathrooms are the best in the Bay btw.
