I used to work here as a Suites manager and it was one of craziest jobs I’ve ever had. It was during the 2015 NBA season so this was when Prokhorov owned the Nets and the Barclays Center was very new. The Nets hosted All Star weekend that season so I got to rub elbows with literally ever NBA player both past and present and I saw Aaron Gordon and Zach Lavine put on one of the best Dunk Contest battles ever. That season was the year the Prince William & Kate Middleton came to see LeBron play in the states and they sat courtside that game. Jay-Z and Beyoncé would roll through at a moments notice with the likes of Floyd Mayweather and on off days there would be concerts for the likes of Chris Brown, Elton John, Justin Timberlake just to name a few. The arena is positioned right on top of a major subway hub on Atlantic Ave and the arena food features local Brooklyn vendors. The only thing missing is the team that calls it home. The Nets have been underwhelming since they got there.
