Schoenecker Arena, inside the Anderson Athletics and Recreation Center on the University of St. Thomas campus in St. Paul, Minnesota, was a home court for the St. Thomas Tommies basketball programs. It hosted the Tommies as they transitioned to NCAA Division I in the Summit League, giving the program a compact, on-campus venue during a historic conference jump. Its modest seating bowl put fans close to the floor for a small-college feel even as the Tommies moved up in competition level.
The arena was part of St. Thomas athletics during the school's historic jump from Division III directly to Division I beginning in 2021, an almost unprecedented move in NCAA history. It hosted its final Tommies basketball game in March 2025 before the program moved to the new Lee and Penny Anderson Arena, a larger facility built to match the Tommies' Division I ambitions. Schoenecker Arena served as the Tommies' proving ground during those transitional years of top-tier scheduling. Its closing marked the end of an era for St. Thomas basketball in its former home.
