The Show Me Center is the home of Southeast Missouri State Redhawks basketball in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and doubles as the region's primary concert and events arena. It draws fans from across Southeast Missouri, Southern Illinois, and Western Kentucky, functioning as much as a regional entertainment hub as a college gym. The multipurpose bowl hosts everything from Redhawks hoops to touring concerts and family shows, giving it a lively, small-city-arena character.
Opened in the summer of 1987 as a joint project between Southeast Missouri State University and the City of Cape Girardeau, the Show Me Center has hosted decades of SEMO basketball along with a wide range of touring acts, including ZZ Top, Elton John, and Luke Bryan. It hosted the 1991 NCAA Women's Division II Basketball Championship and has staged nationally televised pro wrestling events, including WWF and WCW cards. Seating around 7,000-7,300, it remains the largest arena in the region and a longstanding community fixture.
