CEFCU Arena

CEFCU Arena, long known to fans as Redbird Arena, is the home of Illinois State Redbirds basketball in Normal, Illinois. It hosts the school's Missouri Valley Conference men's and women's programs and is instantly recognizable from the outside for its distinctive tent-like fabric roof. Inside, the steep, close seating bowl creates a loud environment for MVC rivalry games.

Opened in 1989, the arena is famous for its glowing Teflon-coated fabric roof, a design feature that made it a regional architectural landmark on the Illinois State campus. It has hosted decades of Missouri Valley Conference basketball, MVC Tournament games, concerts, and community events, and its naming-rights deal with CEFCU has kept the Redbird Arena identity alive among longtime fans.
