Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium

Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium is the home of Memphis Tigers football in Memphis, Tennessee. Formerly Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium, it is a large open-air bowl that also hosts the annual AutoZone Liberty Bowl and other marquee events. A major renovation completed for the 2026 season has modernized the seating, lighting, and premium spaces while preserving the stadium's classic bowl shape, giving Memphis a refreshed but still cavernous home venue.

Opened in 1965 as Memphis Memorial Stadium (soon renamed Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium), the venue has long been the site of the AutoZone Liberty Bowl and the annual Southern Heritage Classic, and it hosted Memphis through the program's rise into the American Athletic Conference. A naming-rights deal brought the Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium name, and a roughly $226.5 million renovation project, begun in 2024 and completed ahead of the 2026 season, overhauled seating and facilities across the stadium. Despite the modernization, it remains best known as the historic home of the Liberty Bowl bowl game.
