Pratt & Whitney Stadium

Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field is the football home of the UConn Huskies in East Hartford, Connecticut, just outside Hartford. Its modern bowl and open concourses give it a clean, contemporary big-game feel despite hosting a program still building its FBS identity. The stadium's location on a former aircraft-testing site gives it wide, unobstructed sightlines and ample tailgating space. It occasionally hosts other events, including concerts and soccer matches, alongside UConn football Saturdays.

Opened in 2003 as Rentschler Field, the stadium was built on the site of a former Pratt & Whitney aircraft engine testing airfield, a nod preserved in the venue's naming-rights identity. Seating roughly 40,000, it gave UConn football its first true on-campus-caliber home as the program transitioned into the Football Bowl Subdivision. The stadium has also hosted U.S. Men's and Women's National Team soccer matches and concerts, adding to its dual identity as both a college football venue and regional multipurpose stadium.
