Turf Moor

Turf Moor in Burnley is one of the oldest grounds in world football, home to the Clarets since 1883. Its tightly-packed stands sit close to the pitch in classic old-fashioned English style, giving even Premier League visitors a proper lower-league atmosphere. Burnley have played continuously at Turf Moor since 1883, making it the second-longest continuously used ground in English professional football. A traditional, tightly-packed Lancashire ground, it carries the heritage of a founding member of the Football League in 1888 and witnessed the club's First Division title wins either side of the Second World War. It has since become known for punching above its weight, hosting Premier League football on several occasions despite being one of the competition's smallest and most old-fashioned venues.
