Carver Arena is the basketball centerpiece of the Peoria Civic Center in downtown Peoria, Illinois, and serves as the home court for the Bradley University Braves men's and women's basketball teams in the Missouri Valley Conference. As a true civic-center arena rather than an on-campus building, it draws a broad downtown Peoria crowd rather than a purely student-driven one. Its bowl seating and concourse energy make it one of the livelier venues in the Valley on a big MVC night.
The Peoria Civic Center, anchored by Carver Arena, opened in 1982, and Bradley moved its basketball program into the building that same year. As a downtown civic arena, it has hosted Bradley basketball alongside concerts, the Illinois high school state basketball tournaments, and other major Peoria events over more than four decades. It remains the largest indoor arena in downtown Peoria and the hub of the city's sports and entertainment calendar.
