California-San Diego Tritons

The UC San Diego Tritons bring cutting-edge academics and rising basketball ambition to La Jolla, California, competing in NCAA Division I's Big West Conference. After transitioning up from Division II, the Tritons have quickly become one of the Big West's most talked-about programs, playing home games at LionTree Arena.

UC San Diego moved to Division I and the Big West Conference in 2020, becoming NCAA tournament-eligible in 2025. That year, the Tritons won their first outright Big West regular-season title and captured the Big West Tournament championship, punching their first-ever ticket to the NCAA Division I tournament.
