Elon Phoenix

Elon Phoenix basketball plays at the modern Schar Center in North Carolina, a rising program in the CAA. Still chasing its first NCAA Tournament berth at the Division I level, Elon delivered its signature moment with an improbable run to the 2021 CAA championship game. The Phoenix bring an energetic, program-on-the-rise feel to every home date.

Elon's basketball roots go back to the early 1900s, including a 1913-14 North Carolina state championship, but the program didn't move to Division I until 1999-2000. After stops in the Big South and Southern Conference, Elon joined the CAA in 2014-15 and reached its first-ever CAA championship game in 2021, upsetting Towson, top-seeded James Madison, and Hofstra along the way before falling to Drexel.
