Marshall Thundering Herd

The Marshall Thundering Herd play at the Cam Henderson Center in Huntington, West Virginia, competing in the Sun Belt Conference. Under Kim English, the Thundering Herd bring basketball tradition to one of the state's most passionate fan bases. Marshall's green and white colors and Appalachian identity create a distinct character.

Marshall has made five NCAA Tournament appearances. Hal Greer, one of the NBA's greatest players, is the program's most famous alumnus. The Cam Henderson Center is named for the legendary coach who built Marshall's early basketball tradition. The Thundering Herd moved to the Sun Belt Conference in 2022 after decades in Conference USA.
