Florida Atlantic Owls

The Florida Atlantic Owls play home games at FAU Arena in Boca Raton, a program that went from national afterthought to Final Four contender almost overnight. FAU's 2023 tournament run turned the Owls into one of college basketball's favorite Cinderella stories and put the program on the national map for the first time. Now competing in the American Athletic Conference, FAU carries real postseason credibility into every season.

FAU basketball began play in 1988-89 and didn't reach Division I until 1993-94. The program's defining moment came in 2022-23, when a 31-3 team won the Conference USA championship, cracked the AP Top 25 for the first time in school history, and upset Kansas State to reach the program's first-ever Final Four, ultimately falling to San Diego State on a buzzer-beater. That run transformed FAU from a mid-major unknown into a nationally recognized program.
