Miami (OH) RedHawks

The Miami RedHawks are one of the Mid-American Conference's flagship programs, playing in front of a passionate crowd at Millett Hall in Oxford, Ohio. Known historically as the 'Cradle of Coaches' for the string of legendary coaches who passed through the athletic department, Miami basketball carries a tradition of tournament-tested toughness. The RedHawks have combined steady MAC dominance with occasional deep NCAA Tournament runs, giving the program a national profile well beyond its conference. Recent seasons have reinforced Miami's status as a MAC powerhouse, including a historic unbeaten run through the 2025-26 regular season.

Miami's basketball program dates to the 1905-06 season and joined the Mid-American Conference in 1947, quickly becoming one of its most decorated members. The RedHawks have won MAC regular-season titles 19 times and captured 4 MAC Tournament championships, along with 18 NCAA Tournament appearances and four Sweet Sixteen trips. One of the program's signature moments came in 1995, when 12th-seeded Miami upset 5th-seeded Arizona before falling to Virginia in overtime. Miami capped the 2025-26 regular season by becoming just the third Division I program ever to enter its conference tournament undefeated.
