Toledo Rockets

The Toledo Rockets have built one of the Mid-American Conference's most consistent regular-season resumes, playing home games at Savage Arena on the University of Toledo campus. Known for disciplined, well-coached basketball, the Rockets have racked up MAC regular-season titles across multiple decades under a handful of long-tenured head coaches. Toledo's program has become a modern MAC power again in recent years, reeling off outright conference titles behind sharp offensive execution. Toledo basketball first reached the NCAA Tournament in 1954 after winning the MAC regular-season crown, and the program's best season came in 1966-67 with a 23-2 record. The Rockets won their only MAC Tournament title in 1980, defeating Ball State to reach the NCAA Tournament for a second straight season. Toledo has claimed twelve MAC regular-season championships overall, including three straight outright titles from 2020-21 through 2022-23 under head coach Tod Kowalczyk, cementing the program's status as a modern-era MAC contender.
