Overview
The Hampton Pirates play at the Convocation Center in Hampton, Virginia, competing in the Coastal Athletic Association. The Pirates bring HBCU tradition and competitive basketball to the CAA. Hampton's blue and white colors and Virginia setting create a strong identity.
History & Legacy
Hampton has made five NCAA Tournament appearances. The Pirates pulled off a stunning upset of Iowa State in the 2001 tournament first round. Hampton moved from the MEAC to the CAA, bringing a proud HBCU basketball tradition to the conference.
