Overview
The Indiana State Sycamores play at Hulman Center in Terre Haute, competing in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Sycamores bring Valley basketball to western Indiana. Indiana State's blue and white colors and Indiana basketball tradition create a passionate following.
History & Legacy
Indiana State reached the 1979 national championship game, led by Larry Bird, one of the greatest players in basketball history. The Sycamores' title game against Magic Johnson's Michigan State team is considered the most important game in college basketball history for popularizing the sport. Indiana State has made five tournament appearances.
