Nevada Wolf Pack

The Nevada Wolf Pack bring a scrappy, up-tempo identity to the Mountain West, playing home games at Lawlor Events Center in Reno in front of one of the conference's most engaged fan bases. Nevada basketball built its modern reputation on deep, experienced rosters and NCAA Tournament runs that punched well above the program's conference standing. The Wolf Pack have become known for close, dramatic tournament games and a never-say-die competitive streak. It's a program that has earned respect nationally despite playing outside the power conferences.

Nevada's basketball program began in 1913, but its national breakthrough came far later, highlighted by a run to the Sweet Sixteen in 2004 — the program's first ever. That surge continued into the mid-2010s and 2020s, with the Wolf Pack becoming Mountain West regulars in the NCAA Tournament, appearing in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2023, and 2024. The team's highest national ranking, No. 9, came in 2007. Nevada has never won a national championship.
