Arizona State Sun Devils

The Arizona State Sun Devils play home games at Desert Financial Arena in Tempe, sharing the Phoenix metro spotlight with in-state rival Arizona. ASU basketball has never reached a Final Four but has sent a long list of talented players to the NBA, including future superstar guards developed in Tempe. The Sun Devils moved from the Pac-12 to the Big 12 in 2024. It's a program defined more by individual talent and hard-fought conference battles than championship banners.

Arizona State has reached the NCAA Tournament 17 times, including three Elite Eight appearances in 1961, 1963, and 1975, but has never advanced to a Final Four or won a national championship. The program has produced notable NBA talent over the decades, including future All-Star James Harden. ASU was a longtime member of the Pac-12 before joining the Big 12 in 2024.
