Mississippi State Bulldogs

The Mississippi State Bulldogs play SEC basketball at Humphrey Coliseum, affectionately known as "The Hump," one of the loudest arenas in the conference. The program has built a reputation for physical, defense-first basketball and has produced a string of NBA-caliber talent over the years. Starkville's close-knit college-town energy gives Bulldog games an intensity that belies the program's modest championship history. Mississippi State remains a dangerous out for any SEC opponent.

Mississippi State has never won a national championship but reached the Final Four in 1996 under coach Richard Williams, the program's signature NCAA Tournament run. The Bulldogs also famously defied a 1963 state ban on integrated competition to play in that year's NCAA Tournament, a landmark moment in college basketball and Mississippi civil rights history. The program has continued to develop first-round NBA talent in the decades since.
