The Wofford Terriers play Southern Conference basketball at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium in Spartanburg, South Carolina, representing one of the smallest enrollments in Division I. Despite its size, Wofford built one of the most efficient, three-point-shooting programs in the country during the 2010s. The Terriers' old-gold crowds bring a tight-knit, small-college passion to SoCon games. The program remains known for disciplined, well-drilled basketball.
Wofford has never won a national championship but had its signature season in 2018-19, going 30-5, winning the Southern Conference regular-season and tournament titles, and reaching the NCAA Tournament as a No. 7 seed. The Terriers also made previous NCAA Tournament appearances in 2010, 2011, and 2015. That run under coach Mike Young remains the high-water mark of program history.
