San Francisco Dons

The San Francisco Dons play at War Memorial Gymnasium in San Francisco, competing in the West Coast Conference. The Dons have a storied basketball history and bring WCC basketball to one of America's great cities. USF's green and gold colors and San Francisco setting create a distinctive identity.

San Francisco won back-to-back national championships in 1955 and 1956, led by the legendary Bill Russell, who went on to dominate the NBA. The Dons have made 14 NCAA Tournament appearances. K.C. Jones and Phil Smith are among the program's other notable alumni. USF's two titles place them among college basketball's historic programs.
