Memphis Tigers

The Memphis Tigers play at FedExForum in downtown Memphis, one of the largest and most impressive arenas in college basketball. Under Penny Hardaway, the Tigers aim to restore the program to its championship-game heights. Memphis's blue and gray colors and passionate fanbase create an electric environment. The program has reached three national championship games and made 27 NCAA Tournament appearances. Memphis's AAC membership and NBA-caliber arena attract elite talent.

Memphis reached the 2008 national championship game under John Calipari, with Derrick Rose leading the way before the season was vacated. The Tigers also reached the 1973 title game under Gene Bartow. Larry Finch, Keith Lee, and Anfernee Hardaway are among the program's legendary alumni. Penny Hardaway returned as head coach in 2018, bringing immediate recruiting success. The program's move from Conference USA to the American Athletic Conference elevated its profile.
