Radford Highlanders

The Radford Highlanders represent Radford University in southwest Virginia, playing home games at the Donald N. Dedmon Center. A longtime Big South Conference fixture, Radford has quietly built one of the league's steadier winning traditions, blending regular-season depth with periodic NCAA Tournament breakthroughs. The Blue Ridge Mountain setting gives the program a close, community-driven home atmosphere.

Radford has won six Big South regular-season championships and three conference tournament titles, in 1998, 2009, and 2018, each earning the program an NCAA Tournament bid. The 1997-98 breakthrough came by beating Charleston Southern, UMBC, and UNC Asheville to claim the program's first tournament crown. Radford's 2018 NCAA Tournament win remains, as of recent seasons, one of the more recent tournament victories by a Big South team.
