Stony Brook Seawolves

The Stony Brook Seawolves represent Long Island in FCS football, a program that has quietly built one of the region's most respected small-college outfits. Competing in the Coastal Athletic Association, Stony Brook draws on a tight-knit campus community for its football identity. Stony Brook's football program is a relatively young addition to the university's athletics, having grown from club status into a full FCS program in the 2000s, with a notable 2018 CAA co-championship and playoff appearance.
