The Miami RedHawks play Mid-American Conference football at Yager Stadium in Oxford, Ohio, and carry one of the sport's most respected coaching pedigrees. Known as the 'Cradle of Coaches' for the long list of head coaches who passed through the program, Miami combines old-school tradition with one of the MAC's deepest championship trophy cases.
Miami University first fielded a football team in 1888, making it one of the oldest programs in the country. Coached by figures such as Ara Parseghian, Woody Hayes, Bo Schembechler, and Weeb Ewbank, Miami earned the 'Cradle of Coaches' nickname and has won 23 conference championships, including titles as recently as 2019 and 2023. The RedHawks have appeared in 12 bowl games, winning seven.
