Overview
The Ball State Cardinals play Mid-American Conference football at Scheumann Stadium in Muncie, Indiana. Since joining the MAC in 1975, the Cardinals have collected six conference championships, with their 2020 title team also delivering the program's first bowl victory.

Ball State's football program traces to 1924 and joined the Mid-American Conference in 1975. The Cardinals have won six MAC championships, from their first in 1976 through titles in 1989 and 1993 under coach Paul Schudel, up to a 2020 championship under Mike Neu that ended with the program's first-ever bowl win over San Jose State in the Arizona Bowl.
