North Carolina A&T Aggies football is one of the most decorated FCS-level programs in the country, a fixture of HBCU football supremacy out of Greensboro. Playing in CAA Football after a long MEAC run, the Aggies have claimed the Celebration Bowl - college football's de facto HBCU national championship - four times since 2015. A&T's 16 conference titles and 11 Black college national championships place it among the sport's true blue-bloods.
The Aggies began playing football in the early 1900s and joined the CIAA in 1924, winning their first conference title in 1927 under coach L.P. Byarm. A&T became a founding MEAC member in 1969 and won eleven conference titles during that era, punctuated by a run of Celebration Bowl championships in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019 - including a perfect 12-0 season in 2018. The Aggies have collected 11 Black college national titles across their history and now compete in CAA Football.
