The Bryant Bulldogs play at Beirne Stadium in Smithfield, Rhode Island, home to a program that has climbed from Division II to Division I FCS football over the past two and a half decades. Black and gold, Bryant has steadily built up its football credibility since starting the program in 1999, most recently competing in CAA Football after stints in several FCS conference alignments.
Bryant fielded its first football team in 1999 under coach Jim Miceli and spent its early years in NCAA Division II, winning back-to-back Northeast-10 Conference championships in the mid-2000s under Marty Fine before the university moved football to Division I in 2008. The Bulldogs have since competed in several FCS conference configurations, most recently joining CAA Football in 2024 after a season in the Big South-OVC Football Association.
