The Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles play at Tucker Stadium in Cookeville, Tennessee, a program with a long-standing Ohio Valley Conference pedigree. Purple and gold, Tennessee Tech has been a charter member of the OVC since 1949 and has produced multiple championship eras, most recently capping a 76-year run in the conference with an outright title in 2025 before departing for the Southern Conference.
Tennessee Tech's program traces its varsity roots to 1922. The Golden Eagles won their first Ohio Valley Conference championship in 1952 and reeled off four consecutive OVC titles from 1958 to 1961 under coach Wilburn Tucker, whose name now graces the team's home stadium. After a long championship drought, Tech shared the 2011 OVC title and closed out its OVC tenure with an outright title in 2025 before moving to the Southern Conference.
