The Georgia Bulldogs play in Sanford Stadium in Athens, one of the sport's classic settings, complete with the hedges lining the field that have become synonymous with 'Between the Hedges.' Red and black, and led onto the field by live mascot Uga, Georgia has emerged as one of the modern era's true dynasties, capturing back-to-back national titles in 2021 and 2022 under Kirby Smart. The program's blend of old-school Southern tradition and cutting-edge recruiting has made it a perennial championship contender.

Georgia played its first football game in 1892 and has claimed national championships in 1942, 1980, 2021, and 2022. The 1980 title, won under Vince Dooley behind Herschel Walker's Heisman-winning freshman season, stood as the program's crowning achievement for four decades until Kirby Smart delivered back-to-back College Football Playoff championships in 2021 and 2022, making Georgia the first program to repeat as playoff-era champions. A charter SEC member since 1932, Georgia has built one of the conference's most consistently dominant modern programs.
