The Auburn Tigers play at Jordan-Hare Stadium, home to one of the sport's great traditions in Toomer's Corner, where fans roll the historic oak trees at the edge of campus after big wins. Orange and blue, and locked in the Iron Bowl rivalry with in-state power Alabama every year, Auburn has produced some of college football's most electrifying moments and Heisman-winning stars. The 'War Eagle' battle cry and eagle flight before kickoff give Auburn one of the sport's most theatrical gamedays.
Auburn began playing intercollegiate football in 1892 and claims nine national championships spanning 1910, 1913, 1914, 1957, 1958, 1983, 1993, 2004, and 2010, with several of the earlier titles retroactively added by the school in 2025. Auburn has produced three Heisman Trophy winners -- Pat Sullivan (1971), Bo Jackson (1985), and Cam Newton (2010) -- and its 2010 team capped a national title season behind Newton's dominant campaign. A charter SEC member since 1932, Auburn's rivalry with Alabama in the Iron Bowl remains one of the fiercest in American sports.
