SE Louisiana Lions

The Southeastern Louisiana Lions are a resilient Southland Conference program out of Hammond, Louisiana, having rebuilt themselves into a consistent postseason contender after a nearly two-decade hiatus from the sport. Playing in green and gold, the Lions combine a passionate regional fan base with a modern, competitive FCS identity forged since football's 2003 revival.

Southeastern Louisiana fielded its first football team in 1930, but financial pressures forced the program to shut down after the 1985 season until it was revived in 2003. Since returning, the Lions have won 10 conference championships overall, including back-to-back Southland titles in 2017 and 2018 under coach Ron Roberts, and made four straight postseason appearances from 2016-2019. The program's turnaround from a two-decade absence to conference champion stands as one of the Southland's notable revival stories.
