Kennesaw State Owls

Kennesaw State football is one of the newest programs in major college football, having launched in 2015 and rapidly climbed the ranks to reach the FBS by 2024. The Owls play home games at Fifth Third Bank Stadium on their Georgia campus, building a young but energetic program culture from the ground up. Kennesaw State's quick rise reflects an aggressive, ambitious approach to establishing a football identity. The Owls now compete in Conference USA as one of the sport's newest members.

Kennesaw State fielded its first football team in 2015 and quickly found success at the FCS level, winning Big South Conference championships in 2017, 2018, and 2021 while making four FCS playoff appearances in its first seven seasons. The program transitioned to FBS play after the 2022 season and joined Conference USA in 2024. Kennesaw State has no FBS-level championships yet, reflecting the program's brief top-tier tenure.
