Fordham Rams

Fordham Rams football is one of the oldest college football programs in the country, based in the Bronx, New York, with a history stretching back to the 1880s. The Rams built a golden era in the early 1940s and have since settled into life as a competitive FCS program in the Patriot League. Fordham's maroon colors and deep New York roots give the program a unique identity.

Fordham first fielded football in 1882 and won two national championships in 1941 and 1942 under legendary coach Jimmy Crowley, an era that also produced the famed "Seven Blocks of Granite" offensive line, which included a young Vince Lombardi. After decades as an independent, Fordham joined the Patriot League in 1990 and has won conference titles in 2002, 2007, and 2014.
