Gardner-Webb Bulldogs

The Gardner-Webb Bulldogs (Runnin' Bulldogs) bring competitive FCS football to Boiling Springs, North Carolina, a program built on a strong conference foundation and recent championship success. Representing a small Baptist university with a big athletic profile, the Bulldogs have become one of the region's most competitive small-school programs.

Gardner-Webb's football program began in 1970 and has claimed conference championships in the Big South, including titles in 2002 and 2003. After a long drought, the Bulldogs won back-to-back Big South-Ohio Valley Football Association championships in 2022 and 2023, both with perfect conference records.
