Everton FC

Everton FC, the Toffees, are one of English football's oldest and proudest clubs, historically rooted at Goodison Park on Merseyside. Formed in 1878 as St. Domingo's before adopting the Everton name in 1879, the club was a founding member of the Football League in 1888 and won its first title in 1890-91. Everton enjoyed multiple golden eras, most notably under Howard Kendall in the mid-1980s, when the club won the league in 1984-85 and 1986-87 alongside a European Cup Winners' Cup. In total, Everton have won nine English top-flight championships and five FA Cups, giving the club one of the richest trophy hauls in the English game.
