Saudi Arabia, the Green Falcons, are one of Asia's footballing heavyweights, backed by enormous passion and a domestic league that has attracted some of the world's biggest stars. A three-time Asian champion, the Saudis are regular World Cup qualifiers with a flair for the dramatic.

Saudi Arabia made a sensational World Cup debut in 1994, reaching the round of 16 on the back of Saeed Al-Owairan's mesmerizing solo goal against Belgium, often ranked among the greatest in tournament history. While they have not matched that run since, the Green Falcons authored one of the biggest shocks ever in 2022, defeating eventual champions Argentina 2-1 in the group stage. Saudi Arabia have now qualified for seven World Cups and will appear again in 2026.
