FC Cincinnati plays in front of one of MLS's loudest and most passionate crowds at TQL Stadium, a soccer-specific venue built to match the club's rapidly rising ambitions. What began as a USL side with a devoted following transformed into an MLS contender within a few short years. The Orange and Blue have leaned into their supporters' culture, turning Cincinnati into an unlikely but genuine soccer city. FC Cincinnati's turnaround from early struggles to league contender is one of the more compelling arcs in recent MLS history.
FC Cincinnati was formed in 2015 as a USL club before being approved for MLS expansion in 2018 and playing its first MLS match in 2019. The club finished last in the league for three straight seasons from 2019 to 2021, but rebuilt around a new stadium and strengthened roster to dramatic effect. In 2023, FC Cincinnati won the Supporters' Shield with a franchise-best record, becoming just the fifth club to capture the honor within its first five MLS seasons. The club has yet to add an MLS Cup to its trophy case but has established itself as a top Eastern Conference side.
