History & Legacy
The Cavaliers joined the NBA in 1970 and won their lone championship in 2016 when LeBron James led an historic 3-1 Finals comeback against Golden State. Cleveland rebuilt around Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley into one of the East's best regular-season teams, reaching the 2026 Eastern Conference Finals before being swept by the eventual champion Knicks.
