Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz have represented Salt Lake City basketball since relocating from New Orleans in 1979, playing home games at Delta Center. Despite an unusual name for a Utah franchise, the Jazz have built one of the NBA's most stable and well-run organizations, headlined by one of the greatest coach-and-star duos in league history. The franchise's loyal fan base has supported the team through multiple eras of rebuilding and contention.

The franchise began in 1974 as the New Orleans Jazz before relocating to Salt Lake City in 1979. Utah's greatest era came in the 1990s under coach Jerry Sloan, powered by the legendary pick-and-roll partnership of John Stockton and Karl Malone, which led to back-to-back NBA Finals appearances in 1997 and 1998. The Jazz have never won an NBA championship.
