Team World

Team World is the international side of the NBA's Rising Stars Challenge, an All-Star Weekend exhibition game pitting a squad of international young talent against Team USA. Rather than a permanent club, it's a yearly showcase roster drawn from the league's rising international players.

The Rising Stars Challenge shifted to a Team USA vs. Team World format in 2015, replacing the earlier rookies-vs-sophomores setup. Team World has been highly competitive in the format, reflecting the growing depth of international talent entering the NBA. As an exhibition designation rather than a standing franchise, it does not have a conventional founding date or championship history.
