Suzuki hits the Century mark
The Habs love their ‘1sts in a long time’ this season. Nick Suzuki becomes the first Canadien to hit the 100-point mark since 1986 when Mats Näslund put up 110 points. For context: Patrick Roy, former Islanders head coach and Hall of Fame goaltender, was a ROOKIE. Suzuki is also just the 5th Hab ever to hit the century mark in a season. He joins the likes of the aforementioned Näslund (one time) Pete Mahovlich (two times), Steve Shutt (one time) and the legendary Guy Lafleur (did it 6 times). Suzuki’s 72 assist makes him just the 6th guy to do that as well. Joining LaFleur (who did it 4 times) and Mahovlich.
